We’ve made a bunch of enhancements and improvements and some bug fixes that’ll hopefully save you some headaches. Enjoy the updates!

Sprint 30

New Features

  • VP800 SDKs allow seamless payment integration with APIs for terminal setup, card reading, secure PIN management, and transaction processing.
  • Enable detailed tip and fee reports for cash sales by using the “Allow server and clerk” and “Settlement Tip Report” parameters.
  • Cash sale receipts now include tendered amount, cash due, and sale amount.
  • POS terminals now feature a custom tip button, allowing customers to enter a preferred tip amount during transactions.
  • The “Maximum Transaction Limit – PayNow Link” control is now managed in Valor Shield RT.
  • Terminals will now print merchant receipts when SMS receipts are sent.
  • Merchants can enter tip amounts instead of the customer using the VP800 customer-facing screen.
  • Merchants can now reprint terminal receipts for past transactions by selecting the date from the transaction module.
  • Customer names from Vault are now displayed in the transaction module for better tracking.

POS Terminals

  • POS terminals now require a customizable password for secure EBT transactions.
  • POS terminals calculate change for cash transactions.
  • ISOs can define specific payment methods for Merchants, such as Tap, Chip, Swipe, or All, in the Valor Portal.
  • Merchants must authenticate EPI changes with an OTP sent to their registered email and phone number.
  • New optimized method of adjusting tips on transactions.
  • Merchants can add customer card details to the Vault via POS terminals for tokenized transactions.
  • POS terminals now use thumbs-up and thumbs-down symbols for customer feedback after transactions.
  • Transaction receipts now include line items, VAS details, and total amounts, retrievable using transaction or card numbers.
  • POS terminals now prompt Merchants when a duplicate transaction is detected, offering an option to proceed or cancel.
  • New “No Receipt” option on the VP800.
  • POS devices now feature a Valor Connect logo for seamless re-entry into Listening Mode to receive transactions.

SWITCH

  • Merchants can now process EBT card transactions via the Worldpay processor.

ISV

  • A redesigned checkout screen for WooCommerce ensures error-free card entry.

Mobile Application – Android/iOS

  • Merchants can restrict the number of modules for the operators under transactions in the Valor Portal.
  • Merchants and ISOs can now void pre-auth transactions after batch settlement.
  • The ValorPay app enables card scanning through the camera to auto-populate card details.

TMS

  • ISOs and Merchants can add up to 25 customizable input fields.
  • ISOs and Merchants can adjust maximum transaction limits for PayNow links, up to $999,999.99.
  • Secure link payments now require Captcha validation, offering audio and visual options.
  • Merchants can now process transactions up to $1000 without a PIN or signature using the QSR flag.

Valor Portal

Merchants and ISOs can customize transaction reports by modifying columns within the Transactions module.

  • A single OTP can now be used to onboard multiple users in one session, streamlining the onboarding process.
  • The system now prompts ISOs to settle batches before deleting EPIs, ensuring no unsettled transactions are missed.
  • New filters allow Merchants to view transactions with or without tip amounts.
  • Merchants can generate six types of inventory reports, including Unit Sold, Profitability, and Inventory Forecasting.
  • Merchants can add “Device Label” fields to various reports for better customization.
  • Cash transaction refunds can now be processed directly through the Transactions module.
  • ISOs can edit store descriptions via the “Store Descriptor” field in Merchant Management.
  • Settlement Summary Reports now display invoice numbers for improved transaction tracking.
  • Merchants can now upload more items to Menu & Inventory as we have increased the maximum limit.
  • ISOs can export multiple Batch Out Reports at once and download them via the Download Center.
  • ISOs and Merchants can verify their email addresses via a “Send Verification Mail” option, updating their status to “Verified.”
  • Valor supports Priority Payments as a Processor on the VL100, VL110, VL300, VL500, VP100 devices and the Virtual Terminal.
  • The Virtual Terminal now displays refund counts and amounts, with drill-down views for detailed refund tracking.
  • ISOs and Merchants can configure mandatory fields for the PayNow Link, ensuring critical data is consistently collected.
  • EPIs can now be transferred across Merchants under the same ISO, including bulk transfers, for better device management.
  • Merchants can now search for transactions by device name in the Valor Portal.
  • Cashback transactions are now listed separately in transaction and batch reports, ensuring clearer tracking and reporting.
  • The Download Center module allows ISOs and Merchants to download reports with larger data sets and allows them to use the portal while the report is generated.
  • Merchants can now apply an “All” filter in Recurring Billing to view and sort payment details efficiently.
  • Additional input labels and responses are now included in detailed Batch reports generated via Virtual Terminal.

Virtual Terminal

  • Secure link transactions now display a header with the store’s logo, name, and address.
  • Merchants can enable or disable email and SMS confirmations for receipts via the “Print” option.
  • POS terminals now display store names and product details during transactions.
  • Merchants can enable a toggle to bypass or require CVV entry during transaction processing, based on preferences.
  • Merchants can now add line items for cash sales, with tax charges applied and surcharges removed in Virtual Terminal.
  • Virtual Terminal now offers sort-by options for E-Invoice and Recurring Billing menus, improving data organization and management.
  • Merchants can now collect up to 25 additional input fields for transactions in Virtual Terminal and Batch reports.
